Motorcycle World-Northampton Presents the "Arizona Special"

As a dealership new to the world of Indian Motorcycle we take great pride in unveiling our entry into the Project Scout 3k Challenge.

The challenge, set by Indian Motorcycle UK in late 2020, literally challenges its dealers to take a stock Indian Scout and, spending a maximum of £3000 at retail prices, make the bike a bit different, a bit individual, even more special.

At around the time the challenge was set, we were following the build up to the "King of the Baggers" race, with took place at Laguna Seca USA, in October last year.

This also coincided with our dealerships very first delivery of Indian Motorcycle apparel, and the release of the latest range of genuine accessories for the 2021 Scout.

When thinking of American racing and performance, we immediately pictured blue with white stripes, Shelby Cobra and Daytona Coupe, Dodge Viper GTS.

This influence, when combined with an interest in the King of the Baggers race, won incidentally by an Indian Challenger, set us on the path of a "bagger".

Using genuine Indian accessories; the new for '21 "Quick Release Fairing" along with the gorgeous "Quick Release Semi-Rigid Saddlebags", we created an Indian Scout bagger!

So, we had the "feel", but what of the "look"?

Among the first items of apparel we received was a jacket, a blue jacket with cream stripes and burgundy pinstripes!

We instantly had our "look". The jacket gave us our colour scheme and lent our motorcycle its name, the "Arizona Special"!

Once the bodywork was wrapped by L&N Graphic Designs in Rugby, our workshop assembled the bike!

With the "look" and "feel" in place we just needed the "sound" so a pair of Vance & Hines slip on mufflers were fitted to enhance the 1133cc V-twins exhaust note.
