Aprilia Tuono V4 is the reference in the Hypernaked category for effectiveness and feeling in sporty driving on the road as well as in that at the limit on the track.
Now Tuono V4 reaches levels of performance and sophistication never seen before, thanks to Aprilia's know-how acquired over years of competitions at the highest levels and thanks to the experience of those who simply invented the Hypernaked category, starting from a superbike and creating a one of the most adrenaline-pumping bikes of any era, great fun on the road and unbeatable on the track.
The first big news of the new Tuono V4 family, which is unveiled as a world preview on the APRILIA.COM web pages , is the new and marked characterization of the two models in the range.
Tuono V4 (available in Tarmac Gray and Glacier White colors) adopts the characteristics of a road sports bike that also looks at longer distances. The comfort granted by the raised handlebar and the more protective fairing is new and greater. The passenger is no longer a barely tolerated guest and benefits from a large, comfortable seat portion and lower footrests. Tuono V4 thinks of new horizons to be reached quickly and thus the pair of dedicated asymmetrical panniers is available among the accessories.
Tuono V4 Factory (in the Aprilia Black colorway) is confirmed in its nature as a machine that produces adrenaline, strong sensations and pure fun. It is dedicated to an extremely demanding public and boasts exclusive components that include the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system as standard.
The style of the Tuono V4 is completely new and inspired by that introduced by the RS 660, from which it inherits the innovative concept of the double fairing with the function of aerodynamic appendage.
As in the tradition of the Tuono V4, the design is characterized by reduced surfaces and the typical windshield featuring the new triple LED headlight unit equipped with DRL daytime running lights with “bending lights” function. Since the Tuono V4 is strictly derived from the RSV4, it too benefits from the new refined ergonomics of the Aprilia superbike which offers more space and allows a better insertion of the rider on board, thanks to the new shapes of tank and tail.
The electric controls are more functional and intuitive, the larger and more complete color TFT instrumentation is new. Thanks to the more powerful calculation capabilities of the new Marelli 11MP control unit and the new six-axis inertial platform, the electronic management controlled by the full Ride-by-Wire accelerator improves and the operating logic of the APRC is refined.
Aprilia's exclusive suite of electronic controls, which has always been a world leader in terms of effectiveness and technical sophistication, is further enhanced with the introduction of the adjustable engine brake control. There are now six Riding Modes, three for the track (two of which are customizable) and three for the road (one of which is customizable): the rider is only required to choose the Riding Mode that best interprets his needs to automatically obtain the best. tuning of Traction Control, Wheelie Control, engine brake, ABS and other parameters managed.
The chassis, already recognized as a reference for efficiency and feeling, evolves decisively thanks to the arrival of a new and lighter aluminum swingarm with lower reinforcement truss. The new swingarm thus adopts a geometry already seen on the dominant Aprilia in the SBK World Championship, and then developed in a MotoGP key. The new component is designed to lower the masses and increase the stability of the rear axle in acceleration.
Tuono V4 remains the only naked powered by a 65 ° V-shaped four-cylinder with unique characteristics. The Veneto V4 of 1,077 cc remains unchanged in its already excellent performance. Its 175 hp and 121 Nm allow it to dominate the Hypernaked category, even in the face of more endowed competitors in terms of raw power, thanks to the extraordinary balance that the exuberant V4 has been able to build with a chassis and an electronic package perfectly tuned as no other medium in this category.
